Takes Hiatus in 2010
MSM president and driving force behind the races, Wendy Johnson, has been facing significant health issues since shortly after the 2009 event. While she and the family are upbeat, their attention is focused elsewhere.
“Our concentration is on getting Wendy fully recovered,” said Al Johnson of Motion Sports Management and Wendy’s husband.
“We appreciate the thoughts and prayers of our friends and partners and look forward to resuming the St. Pete Beach Classic on January 15, 2011.”
